Visit our dining facility and gameroom, located on the first floor for our pub menu, beer on tap, spirits and family fun.

We are open to the general public, serving lighter fare, including appetizers, burgers sandwiches and wraps.

The Green Mountain Lodge, newly renovated and nestled in the mountains of Northeastern Vermont, is a Vermont country lodging experience with its antique structure dating back to the mid 1800's and picturesque setting.

The Green Mountain LodgeSunrise from the Green Mountain Lodge in Island Pond, VT, originally The Essex Hotel, was built in 1866 and offers a glimpse of the past with many of it's original beams, ceilings, floors and stairway. Later named The Osbourne Hotel, the establishment acquired a reputation based, in part, on the free spiritedness of the era.

The lodge, open year round, enjoys fabulous water views of Island Pond's lake from the east and the Clyde River from the west. Though the Clyde River sometimes changes direction, it generally flows underneath the hotel to empty into Island Pond's lake by the same name.

The Green Mountain Lodge accommodates guests who enjoy spring, summer, fall and winter area sports and attractions. The town of Island Pond is home to the sandy shores of its beautiful lake that is conveniently located across the street, as well as The Bluff Accommodations at the Green Mountain Lodge in Island Pond, VTMountain Hiking Trail, The VAST Trail, tennis courts, boat rental and the Friday Night Live Outdoor Summer Concert Series.

The VAST Trail brings many visitors to the area during the winter season. We are located directly on The VAST Trail. In the winter, after a fine breakfast, snowmobilers step outside and ride. Don't worry about parking your trailers. We have plenty of room for snowmobile trailer parking. Located in the heart of the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont, the Green Mountain Lodge caters to snowmobilers who enjoy the trails from late December until the end of March.

Skiing at Burke Mountain Ski Area is just a 30 minute drive away.
